We Don’t Need Resolutions; We Need Jesus

In this message from 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28, we uncover how we’re called to live as Christians—not by setting resolutions, but by centering our lives on Jesus.

MAIN POINTS:
Our secret future: We live with hope because of the promise of salvation (v9-10).
Our privilege: Comfort and encourage one another in faith (v11).
Our patience: Extend grace to difficult people (v14-15).
Our worship: Live with joy and gratitude, both personally and publicly (v16-22).
Our sanctification: Trust God to transform us as He works within us (v23-24).

Paul also emphasizes the importance of honoring our leaders—those who work tirelessly, guide us, and provide spiritual wisdom.

As the new year begins, consider this: Are you living with hope, building others up, and letting God shape your heart? Let’s focus not on temporary resolutions, but on walking faithfully with Jesus every day.
