Presumption v. Promise | 2 Samuel 7

David desired to build a house for God, but God revealed His ultimate plan: to establish an everlasting house through David's lineage, fulfilled in Jesus Christ. While David’s perspective saw the work as complete, God’s vision was much greater. We reflect on the importance of obeying God’s Word rather than relying on our own understanding and how God's ultimate desire is to dwell among His people, a promise fulfilled through Christ. This covenant demonstrates that God’s plans surpass time, sin, and death.
